ngineers with a foundation in Analog
or Power Engineering.
Requirements:
• Ideally possesses a Bachelor Degree in engineering or applied science with a minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• Is capable of performing responsible and varied engineering as
signments making independent studies, analyses, interpretations and conclusions.
• Is able to work with minimal supervision and can provide technical guidance to engineers and technicians assigned to a common project.
• Ability to participate in planning to ac
hieve prescribed objectives.
Duties:
Overall test design responsibility for Viable’s product line
• Design and develop a universal test bed for the automated testing of Power Supplies using National Instruments LabView;
- Develop test scripts for the control o
f GPIB / IEEE controlled test equipment.
- Develop test scripts for the collection of measurement data.
- Combine test scripts to form complete automated test sequences.
- Create and maintain hardware and software design documentation.
• Programming of environment
al chambers, as well preparation of simplified operating procedures and Technician training in the use of ATE
and environmental chambers.
Define test requirements based on customer specifications and the electrical design;
• Generate ATE test script sequence
s for acceptance testing plus associated procedures.
• Define, design and validate any special to type test hardware including test fixtures and interface cabling.
Take a supporting role in the development of Power Supply designs;
•Assist in the preparation o
f schematics for input to PCB layout.
•Prepare component parts lists with support from lead designers, procurement, manufacturing and quality engineers.
•Provide inputs to mechanical designers and engineers in support of packaging activities.
